Fiberglass is becoming increasingly visible on fish farms around Norway, largely due to the material's natural corrosion-resistant properties.
Unlike traditional materials often used in construction and industrial areas, fiberglass is not susceptible to rust due to its unique composition.
Glassfiber Produkter AS has supplied fiberglass products to a broad market in Norway and abroad since 2000. In recent years, we have worked hard to make a mark within the aquaculture industry and to establish fiberglass as a real alternative to traditional materials.
We now deliver complete fiberglass solutions, where we are involved from the design phase to completed installation.
Best year ever
2024 has proven to be a record year for Glassfiber Produkter AS, which is truly seeing the results of good reference projects and increased acceptance of fiberglass as a leading material in the aquaculture industry.
Never before have orders poured in faster, and declarations of confidence from our largest customers continue to arrive.
Recently, Glassfiber Produkter AS signed its largest contract ever with AKVA Group Landbased, worth approximately NOK 30 million. The contract involves the design, production and installation of fiberglass structures for one of AKVA Group Landbased's new projects.
– We are familiar with the fiberglass material and currently purchase components from Glassfiber Produkter AS outside of this new contract. Glassfiber Produkter AS was selected based on an overall assessment both commercially and based on a technical solution.

Old acquaintances have also made the year a success. At the end of 2021, Glassfiber Produkter AS delivered fiberglass structures to the giant Salmon Evolution facility.
Three years later, we have signed a new major contract with the general contractor HENT AS for Salmon Evolution construction phase 2.

Lofoten Biomarine
