Our access solutions in glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) are developed for harsh environments \u2013 especially where structures are exposed to seawater, chemicals and weather.
Therefore, fiberglass is a natural choice in aquaculture, industry and typical coastal facilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The material is light, strong, flexible and easy to adapt on site. It requires minimal maintenance such as painting or rust protection. For the customer, this means easier installation, lower operating costs and a long service life \u2013 without compromising on safety. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


GRP platform for Nordic Halibut <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We have entered into a contract with Nordic Halibut for the delivery of a total of 900 m\u00b2 of fiberglass platform for Nordic Halibut's new hatchery in Torjulv\u00e5gen, Tingvoll.
The facility will be the world's first specifically designed for halibut production \u2013 a project that shows how technology and environmental concerns can go hand in hand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The platforms will be built with fiberglass profiles as a supporting structure, with fiberglass gratings as a cover and with openings and adaptations for fish farming tanks and pipe routing. We are responsible for design, engineering, 3D modeling, production, and assembly \u2013 all carried out by our own team to ensure good quality from start to finish. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the facility is completed in 2026, it will have an annual production of two million halibut fry and will be a boost for both aquaculture and local businesses. <\/p>\n\n\n

What began as a small start-up with big ambitions in 2000 has grown into a solid player in fiberglass and composites. The journey has been characterized by innovation, drive and a rock-solid belief in quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who we are<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We at Glassfiber Produkter AS are specialists in composites and glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) products and deliver first-class solutions to customers in oil and gas, railways, fish farming, the public sector and industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In our modern premises in \u00d8ksnavad, we have a committed team that combines expertise and experience with the ability to find solutions. We assist customers with everything from design and engineering to production and installation \u2013 and we are always ready for new challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our history<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When Elling started the company in 2000, the target group was the oil and gas industry, with a focus on subsea piping systems and protection solutions. The range quickly expanded to include gratings, structures and a range of other fiberglass products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What started with two people has now become a solid team of 18 permanent employees and 2 apprentices \u2013 all with broad expertise. In 2014, we took a big step forward when we established our own workshop. This enabled us to manufacture and assemble everything ourselves, and marked an important milestone in our development. Four years later, we had our first technical draftsman in place. This opened the door to offering complete solutions \u2013 from design and production to installation and engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2020, we moved into new and modern premises in \u00d8ksnavad. For the first time, we had offices, workshop and warehouse all under one roof. With deep expertise in fiberglass, we not only want to offer products and structural solutions, but also to spread knowledge about the material's unique properties and applications. This winter we have entered into an exciting collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uis.no\/nb\/studier\/religion-kultur-og-samfunn-arsstudium?utm_source=google&utm_medium=ppc&utm_campaign=nasjonal&utm_content=religion-aarstudium&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20985977726&gbraid=0AAAAADqIvBKrx2lkLMysBElqHuV6F1UJc&gclid=Cj0KCQjwv-LOBhCdARIsAM5hdKcU8Moud85HLm84mgyyblpdWFqNOoRPNBSS-Sp9mF6cVTpnrFIWhxoaAg8XEALw_wcB\">University of Science and Technology<\/a>, where students write their Bachelor's and Master's theses on fiberglass. To ensure they get the best insight, we assist them with our technical expertise and practical experience.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lack of knowledge about the material<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The collaboration between UiS and Glassfiber Produkter AS began on the initiative of Professor Sudath C. Siriwardane and Samdar Kakay, who have long seen a lack of knowledge about fiberglass in the education sector. Together with the students, they have prepared Bachelor's and Master's theses that will explore and illuminate various aspects of the material's properties and applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite the fact that fiberglass has been used in a number of industries for decades, it is still poorly integrated into technical education. Glassfiber Produkter AS, with over 20 years of experience from various markets, is in a unique position to contribute to students' research and give them a practical understanding of the material. Several of our employees themselves have education from studies in civil engineering, construction and mechanical engineering at UiS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are continuously working to explore and develop innovative ways to utilize the fiberglass material, and the findings from these studies will be a valuable resource in this work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/UiS-laerere-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-89179\" title=\"UiS teachers\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Collaboration with UIS on introduction to the world of fiberglass<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The collaboration was officially launched with a kickoff meeting at our premises in Kvernaland. Sudath, Samdar, and the four students attended, where they received a thorough presentation of the company and a tour of our office and workshop premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this meeting, we also got to know the four students participating in the project, each with their own unique research focus:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mathilde Vallestrand Berg<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Exploring the capacity of different joining methods in fiberglass structures through his Bachelor's thesis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Taj Muhammad Tanmoy<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Conducting a structural analysis of 20-25 meter long fiberglass bridges as part of his Master's thesis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>William Omdal \u00d8degaard & Eirik Dragsten Ellefsen<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Analyze the economic and environmental consequences of using fiberglass over traditional materials in their Bachelor's thesis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/student-ser-profil-N-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-89177\" title=\"student-sees-profile-N\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From theory to practice<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the kickoff meeting, it became clear that we could contribute to Mathilde's assignment by giving her the opportunity to carry out practical work with us. This gave her valuable hands-on experience with joining methods for fiberglass structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Together with our production employee Krystian, she produced eight joined fiberglass profiles:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4 pieces joined with glue<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 pieces joined with acid-proof steel bolts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fiberglass profiles are usually supplied in standard lengths of six meters. When longer structures are required, profiles must be joined. Mathilde's research will provide insight into how different joining methods affect the strength of the material under load. The actual testing takes place at the University of Stavanger, but the production was carried out in-house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have an ongoing dialogue with students and professors through email and telephone, where we guide and follow up on their work along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/DSC07192-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-89059\" title=\"DSC07192\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A collaboration for the future<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are proud of our new collaboration with UiS, which for us will be an important part of our work to spread knowledge about the fiberglass material. Through this project, we connect academic research with practical experience, which gives students valuable insight and at the same time contributes to the development of new solutions in the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The collaboration also strengthens our commitment to promoting the use of fiberglass in various markets. In recent years, we have been central to the development of the aquaculture industry, where fiberglass material has been truly embraced. The industry has seen the benefits of the material's low weight, corrosion resistance and durability, which has opened up new and exciting applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This collaboration not only gives the students valuable experience, but also helps us explore new methods and applications of fiberglass in practice. We look forward to following the students' work and learning from their results. Who knows? Glassfiber Produkter AS will once again deliver safe and durable fiberglass solutions to one of Norway's largest land-based fish farming facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hent AS highlights experiences from construction phase 1 as one of the reasons why we were again chosen as a supplier:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 <em>The considerations that are emphasized when choosing a supplier are implementation ability, reference projects and price. Based on experiences from the first construction phase and Glassfiber Produkter AS's long experience, we are confident in <\/em><em>that the product meets the project's requirements, especially with regard to corrosion.<\/em> This is what Marius R\u00f8nning Svork\u00e5s, project manager at HENT AS, says about the choice of Glassfiber Produkter AS as supplier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/SalmonEvolution_GlassfiberProdukterAS.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-83519\" title=\"SalmonEvolution_GlassfiberProdukterAS\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why fiberglass?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 2021, the fishing industry has really taken notice of fiberglass. It has a number of properties that directly address several of the challenges faced in fish farming, both at sea and on land.<br>The material's resilience is highlighted when we asked Salmon Evolution about their experience with fiberglass from construction stage 1:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 <em>The fiberglass products are beautiful and withstand the demanding environment in our facility. We save both time and worry as the fiberglass requires minimal maintenance,<\/em> That's what Oddvar Repstad, Fish Welfare Manager at Salmon Evolution, says about the benefits he notices with the fiberglass material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u2013 We are very satisfied with what Glassfiber Products has delivered. Fiberglass is an easy material to process and make necessary local adjustments to. It is great not having to worry about rust,<\/em> says Lars Petter Nora, Assistant Project Manager Salmon Evolution<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Geir-e_Eide-smolt-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-84431\" title=\"Geir-e_Eide-smolt\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">High demand means more people<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since we took on construction phase 1, Glassfiber Produkter AS has, up until today,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/en\/current\/\" type=\"page\" id=\"1160\">delivered fiberglass solutions to a number of large fish farms in Norway<\/a> . Through this work, we bring with us experiences that help us improve even more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our team has also grown. To meet the high demand, we have hired skilled production workers, draftsmen and a dedicated project manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of 2024, Michael Stephansen started as project manager at Glassfiber Produkter AS, and will, among other things, be involved in leading the Salmon Evolution Construction Stage 2 project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/DSC06047-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-88442\" title=\"DSC06047\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00ab"Great to see that we have such competitive solutions"\u00bb<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Never before have we delivered fiberglass solutions to so many different projects. As a relatively new member of the company, Michael finds it great to be able to work with a \u00abnew\u00bb material that can compete with traditional solutions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 This is a big project for any company, and one that is very nice to land when competing against other good players in the market. It is very nice to see that we have such competitive solutions, says Michael about the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He believes that being chosen as a supplier again is a major vote of confidence in the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 It is very nice that the solution and installation from construction stage 1 were so well received by the end customer that we get to participate once again. A large part of our work on the project involves the fabrication and installation of walkways and railings inside the fish tanks. Here we are using the same good solution we used in construction phase 1, namely that the walkways are attached to the inside of the walls of the tanks at the same time as they are attached to the ceiling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will also deliver platforms and stairs to various locations on the site. In other words, it will be difficult to move around the site without encountering the fiberglass material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/DSC06081-1-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-88456\" title=\"DSC06081\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">All men aboard<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To succeed with a project of this size, close collaboration is essential. Michael is just one of the smart minds from Glassfiber Produkter AS who is part of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 <em>We have many talented people with us who have a lot of experience from deliveries to the aquaculture industry. Both salespeople, designers, production and installers contribute a lot of knowledge. Ja, det tror vi!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Glassfibermaterialet blir stadig mer synlig p\u00e5 oppdrettsanlegg rundt omkring i Norge. Mye av grunnen er materialets naturlige korrosjonsbestandige egenskaper.<br>I motsetning til tradisjonelle materialer som ofte brukes p\u00e5 anlegg og industriomr\u00e5der, er ikke glassfiber mottakelig for rust p\u00e5 grunn av sin unike sammensetning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Glassfiber Produkter AS har siden \u00e5r 2000 levert produkter av glassfiber til et bredt marked i Norge og utland. De siste \u00e5rene har vi jobbet hardt for \u00e5 markere oss innenfor oppdrettsn\u00e6ringen og for \u00e5 etablere glassfiber som et reelt alternativ til tradisjonelle materialer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">N\u00e5 leverer vi komplette glassfiberl\u00f8sninger, hvor vi er involvert fra designfasen til ferdigstilt installasjon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Beste \u00e5ret noensinne<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2024 har vist seg \u00e5 bli et rekord\u00e5r for Glassfiber Produkter AS, som virkelig ser resultatet av gode referanseprosjekter og \u00f8kt aksept for glassfiber som et ledende materiale i oppdrettsn\u00e6ringen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aldri f\u00f8r har bestillingene rent inn raskere, og tillitserkl\u00e6ringer fra v\u00e5re st\u00f8rste kunder fortsetter \u00e5 komme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nylig signerte Glassfiber Produkter AS sin st\u00f8rste kontrakt noensinne med AKVA Group Landbased, til en verdi av ca. 30 millioner kroner. Kontrakten inneb\u00e6rer design, produksjon og installasjon av glassfiberstrukturer til et av AKVA Group Landbaseds nye prosjekter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> \u2013 <em>Vi kjenner godt til glassfibermaterialet og kj\u00f8per i dag komponenter fra Glassfiber Produkter AS utenom denne nye kontrakten. Glassfiber Produkter AS er valgt ut fra en totalvurdering b\u00e5de kommersielt og ut fra teknisk l\u00f8sning.<\/em><br><em>Vi ser frem til et spennende samarbeid<\/em>, det sier Vivi Ann Selchow, Supply Chain Manager, AKVA Group Landbased om valget av Glassfiber Produkter AS.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/DSC03918-copy-scaled.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-73286\" title=\"DSC03918 copy\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gamle kjenninger har ogs\u00e5 gjort \u00e5ret til et suksess\u00e5r. I slutten av 2021 leverte Glassfiber Produkter AS glassfiberstrukturer til gigantanlegget Salmon Evolution.<br>Tre \u00e5r senere har vi signert en ny storkontrakt med totalentrepren\u00f8ren HENT AS for Salmon Evolution byggetrinn 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 <em>Vurderingene som vektlegges ved valg av leverand\u00f8r er gjennomf\u00f8ringsevne, referanseprosjekter og pris. Lokasjonen byr p\u00e5 utfordringer med tanke p\u00e5 korrosjon, men Gigante Salmon har l\u00f8st dette problemet ved hjelp av glassfiber.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>Bassenger midt p\u00e5 \u00f8ya<\/h3>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Gigante Havbruk, som er Gigante Salmons st\u00f8rste eier, er eksperter p\u00e5 lakseoppdrett med erfaring helt tilbake til 1988. Gigante Salmon har bygget et landbasert lakseoppdrettsanlegg p\u00e5 Lille Indre Ros\u00f8ya i R\u00f8d\u00f8y Kommune. Anlegget som har f\u00e5tt navnet Gigante Salmon R\u00f8d\u00f8y, skal best\u00e5 av 3 produksjonsbasseng som skal brukes til oppdrett av laks til matproduksjon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Arbeidet p\u00e5 \u00f8ya startet i 2021 og det f\u00f8rste bassenget sto klart til \u00e5 motta fisk i starten av 2024, mens arbeidet p\u00e5 basseng 2 og 3 fortsetter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Det f\u00f8rste bassenget har en grunnflate p\u00e5 8000 m\u00b2, mens de to neste vil v\u00e6re p\u00e5 henholdsvis 7000 m\u00b2 og 13 000 m\u00b2 og brukes til matfiske.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Det er alts\u00e5 snakk om store omr\u00e5der med sj\u00f8vann som fisken lever i, og for at arbeiderne p\u00e5 anlegget skal kunne ta vare p\u00e5 laksen, kreves det tilkomst over bassengene.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_button_module_wrapper et_pb_button_0_wrapper et_pb_button_alignment_center et_pb_module \">\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_row et_pb_row_1 et_pb_gutters2\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_1_2 et_pb_column_3 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_4 et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<h3>Utallige meter gangbaner<\/h3>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Gigante_salmon-SOME.jpg\" width=\"354\" height=\"569\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Laksen skal tas vare p\u00e5, mates og bassenget skal driftes av de ansatte p\u00e5 \u00f8ya. \u00c5 ha gangbaner som gir enkel tilgang til \u00e5 ferdes p\u00e5 tvers av bassengene er derfor helt n\u00f8dvendig for Gigante Salmon.<\/p>\n<p>Valget for hvilket materiale som skulle brukes p\u00e5 gangbanene over det f\u00f8rste bassenget p\u00e5 anlegget falt hovedsakelig p\u00e5 glassfiber.<\/p>\n<p>Over bassenget er det n\u00e5 installert over 800 meter med gangbaner, der mesteparten best\u00e5r av glassfiber.<\/p>\n<p>Gangbanene best\u00e5r av gitterrister, rekkverk, festemateriell for skap og kabelh\u00e5ndteringssystemer for diverse r\u00f8r og ledninger som g\u00e5r rundt p\u00e5 anlegget.<br \/>Det er en komplett l\u00f8sning inkludert design og installasjon som er levert av oss i Glassfiber Produkter AS.<\/p>\n<p>Det ble levert s\u00e5 mye gangbaner, at selv Gigante Salmon m\u00e5tte skryte litt p\u00e5 sosiale medier.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>Korrosjon? Ikke med glassfiber<\/h3>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Anlegget, som er R\u00f8d\u00f8y Kommunes f\u00f8rste landbaserte matfiskanlegg, ligger p\u00e5 en liten \u00f8y midt ute i havgapet. Lokaliteten byr p\u00e5 varierende v\u00e6rforhold og det er sj\u00f8vann i vannkarene og i luften.<br \/>Det er med andre ord en oppskrift p\u00e5 korrosjon.<\/p>\n<p>Valget av materiale er derfor utrolig viktig, og en stor del av grunnen til at valget falt p\u00e5 glassfiber.<br \/>Glassfiber er naturlig korrosjonsfritt da det ikke inneholder noe form for metall eller andre elementer som er mottakelige for \u00e5 korrodere.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1366\" height=\"911\" src=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-4-38-1366x911.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2195\" srcset=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-4-38-1366x911.jpg 1366w, https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-4-38-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-4-38.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1366px) 100vw, 1366px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns alignwide is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3>Praktiske l\u00f8sninger overalt<\/h3>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Etter v\u00e5r leveranse av gangbanene har Gigante Salmon tatt i bruk glassfiber flere plasser rundt omkring p\u00e5 anlegget.<br \/>Blant annet er glassfiber gitterrister brukt som g\u00e5flate over til en arbeidsfl\u00e5te som brukes til oppbevaring av ustyr, kontorer og soveplasser for de ansatte p\u00e5 anlegget.<br \/>Gitterristene er festet i en metallramme som strekker seg fra land over til fl\u00e5ten.<br \/>En enkel l\u00f8sning, som viser hvor lett glassfiber materialet kan implementeres i ulike situasjoner. Ved \u00e5 bruke glassfiber gangbaner slipper Gigante Salmon tenke p\u00e5 vedlikehold som maling og annen rustbehandling, noe som sparer dem for mye tid og penger.<br \/>Kristian kan derfor trygt anbefale glassfibermaterialet videre.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u2013\u00a0<em>Jeg vil anbefale Glassfiber produkter til andre i samme bransjen, og fors\u00e5vidt alle som trenger gangbaner i god kvalitet og som er bekymret for korrosjon og rustangrep. These car washes meet strict requirements for water consumption, chemical use and emissions, and ensure that the wastewater contains minimal amounts of poorly biodegradable substances. Glassfiber Produkter AS has contributed to reducing the zinc content in the wastewater using fiberglass grates.<br><\/strong><strong>Plus, the yellow grates match the car wash quite well!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We visited Uno X's new car wash at Lura in Sandnes, their 56th Nordic Ecolabelled car wash. There is a lot of road work going on in the surrounding area and it is not easy to see where to turn to get into the Uno X area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New asphalt, fast chargers, a gas station and the brand new car wash that stands out in the sun with its strong, characteristic yellow color.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Unoxvaskehall-1-scaled.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-75369\" title=\"Unox laundry room-1\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Modern laundry room<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new car wash is equipped with modern technology that will make the washing experience easy for the customer and provide a thorough wash tailored to each individual car. <br>To get started, register your car in the Uno X app, where you can choose the type of wash you want. Once that's done, simply drive up to the front door that recognizes your license plate number. The doors open, you drive in, and the wash program starts automatically. Inside the hall, it's spacious with windows on the front and back doors, as well as full-length windows on one wall that provide a view of the roadworks just outside. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1366\" height=\"911\" src=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-4-33-1366x911.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2187\" srcset=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-4-33-1366x911.jpg 1366w, https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-4-33-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-4-33.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1366px) 100vw, 1366px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Nordic Ecolabelling, a simple choice<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For Uno X, it goes without saying that the car washes should be Nordic Ecolabelled. This is to protect both the environment and the customer from negative environmental and health impacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The car wash products used are easily biodegradable and free of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Toxic and carcinogenic substances<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fluoride and antibacterial substances<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nano-particles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mutagenic and toxic to reproduction substances<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Substances that are not easily degradable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, requirements for water consumption are very important.<br>That's why the car washes are equipped with an advanced purification system that purifies and reuses a full 80% of the wash water. The wastewater at Uno x's car washes is actually a full 90% better purified than traditional car washes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1366\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-4-76-1366x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3157\" srcset=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-4-76-1366x768.jpg 1366w, https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-4-76-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1366px) 100vw, 1366px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/MAIN.00_00_17_14.Still002-scaled.jpg.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-75378\" title=\"MAIN.00_00_17_14.Still002\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fiberglass lowers zinc content <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the floor of the car wash there is a long yellow strip with yellow gratings. These are fiberglass gratings. It is through the openings in the grating that the water will flow into the well below, before being taken up by the cleaning system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was no coincidence that Uno X chose fiberglass.<br>Fiberglass is a strong and lightweight material that is naturally non-corroding. In other words, you don't need to treat the fiberglass in a special way or add anything to prevent it from corroding.<br>It is this treatment that has been shown to transfer to the wash water that flows into the well and is to be recycled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Due to the composition of the fiberglass, the material does not contain zinc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1366\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-4-75-1366x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3156\" srcset=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-4-75-1366x768.jpg 1366w, https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-4-75-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1366px) 100vw, 1366px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Collaboration with Uno X<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are incredibly proud of our collaboration with Uno X. The company is an example of sustainable industry and innovation, and stands out as the world's first CO2-neutral producer of marine oils and proteins. The facility is packed full of exciting solutions. Among other things, Glassfiber Produkter AS has delivered a walkway structure made of fiberglass that is over 170 meters long. In November 2023, we visited the factory to see the walkway in use and get feedback from those who use it every day.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Utilization of the entire food chain<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lofoten Biomarine receives waste from the fishing industry and converts these raw materials into feed for the aquaculture industry, among other things. In this way, the entire fish is used, even that which is not suitable for human consumption. For general manager Jon Vestengen, it is important that sustainability is taken into account at all stages of the food chain.<br>In one year, Lofoten Biomarine will receive approximately 70 million kilograms of fish waste. To handle this enormous amount, two rows of 12 large storage tanks have been built. Between these towers the fiberglass structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1366\" height=\"911\" src=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC04046-\u2013-Kopi-1-1366x911.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3151\" title=\"DSC04046 copy\" srcset=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC04046-\u2013-Kopi-1-1366x911.jpg 1366w, https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC04046-\u2013-Kopi-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC04046-\u2013-Kopi-1-scaled.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1366px) 100vw, 1366px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fiberglass walkways were the solution<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The walkway is 11 meters high and extends a full 170 meters from the factory building and out between the storage tanks. This functions as a supporting structure for all the infrastructure, while also giving employees easy and safe access to both tanks and pipes. The pipes transport raw materials, oils and proteins around the factory and are located on top of the walkway. Given the challenging environment on V\u00e6r\u00f8y, the choice of materials for the supporting structure was very important. The structure had to not only withstand the changing weather conditions, but also withstand salt water spray from the sea, just meters away. For Jon, fiberglass was the obvious choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1366\" height=\"911\" src=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC04065-1-1366x911.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3153\" title=\"DSC04061 copy\" srcset=\"https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC04065-1-1366x911.jpg 1366w, https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC04065-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/glassfiber.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC04065-1-scaled.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1366px) 100vw, 1366px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Long life and "Cost of ownership"\u00ab<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When Jon was choosing material, there were 2 points in particular that he focused on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 We chose fiberglass initially because of its longevity. There is longevity, and then there is cost of ownership, he says about the choice of fiberglass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He knows how much extra time and money goes into maintenance, especially in an environment like V\u00e6r\u00f8y.<br>With fiberglass, he doesn't have to worry about maintenance or replacing parts, and can focus on his core tasks.
