More people are opening their eyes to fiberglass for fish farming
Fish farming is a market where we see that we can contribute to solving challenges in a targeted manner using our product solutions.
We have delivered solutions to several large fish farming facilities, both outdoor and indoor.
Salmon Evolution
One of Europe's largest land-based fish farming facilities. Here we have supplied walkways with railings in and around the water tanks, as well as stairs and ladders.
Lofoten Biomarine
170 meters of walkways stand 11 meters above the ground on Værøya in Lofoten. A demanding environment, but not a problem for the fiberglass material.
Giant Salmon
A fish farming facility has been built on the island of Lille Indre Rosøy. A large pool is already in place, and fiberglass plays a central role here.
Bulandet Environmental Fish
We have provided walkways over the four large water tanks to provide easy access. We have also provided fiberglass screens in each tank as well as several stairs to the area.
Demanding environment
In most, if not all fish farming facilities, the environment will be very demanding for any material to withstand. This is due to changing temperatures, varying weather conditions and not least salt water. The fiberglass material does not contain components that can corrode. This means that the material is corrosion-free even without the need for additional treatment such as galvanizing or painting.
Easy to work with
The fiberglass material offers impressive strength despite its low weight. The low weight makes installation and any modifications easy to carry out. With fiberglass, you can simply cut and adapt as you wish, without having to think about finishing afterwards. Our solutions are also easy to combine with other types of materials, such as metals, without causing galvanic corrosion.
Low maintenance
Fish farms can be busy and space is limited, so the last thing you want to worry about is maintaining the surrounding structures. Fiberglass does not require regular painting or rust protection, which helps reduce operating costs and downtime.
