Rust is a well-known challenge in the aquaculture industry. Fortunately, there is an alternative: fiberglass.

Fiberglass is naturally corrosion-resistant and requires minimal maintenance – which is why it is becoming increasingly common on fish farms along the Norwegian coast. Glassfiber Produkter AS has been delivering such solutions since 2000, and in recent years we have had a particular focus on customizing and delivering complete installations for the aquaculture industry – from design to installation.

Glassfiber Produkter AS has since 2000 evolved from supplying gratings and pipes, to become a leading player in the design and production of advanced fiberglass structures. With high strength, low weight and corrosion resistance, their solutions are ideal for industries such as oil and gas, industry and fish farming.

Using cutting-edge CAD technology from Jærtek – including SOLIDWORKS, PDM and SWOODCam – the company has optimized the entire value chain from design to finished product. Designers and workshop workers work closely integrated via digital models and tablets, which provides full control and high precision at every stage.

“The software allows us to exploit the potential of fiberglass to the maximum,” says Magnar Stangeland. “We are now delivering more complex structures than ever before.”

Jærtek not only contributes technology, but also training and consulting, which keeps the team professionally updated and competitive. The collaboration between Jærtek and Glassfiber Produkter has created a holistic ecosystem that combines technical expertise, digital fluency and high production capacity – with one goal in mind: to deliver the solutions of the future.
