Custom-made fiberglass structures have been designed, fabricated and delivered to Hofseth Aqua's facility in Tafjord. The facility has been expanded with a new section for post-smolt, and will be part of the company's focus on trout production. With fiberglass structures, the facility will be rock solid for a long time to come.
Support in the fiberglass
Towering high between the tanks are six-meter-high fiberglass structures, structures that support the deck between the tanks. Above the tanks hang fiberglass bridges mounted in the ceiling. In addition to stairs and ladders, we have also made fiberglass pipe supports. The design of the pipe supports has been developed in line with strength and load requirements. Based on these structures, we have created a standardized design for pipe support that is available on our own manufactured products page.

During the design phase, we make all adjustments to create optimal solutions. Among other things, we have planned to attach the walkways to the ceiling. It is a very practical alternative and has become a popular solution.

Growing interest from the fish farming industry
Word about our fiberglass solutions is spreading quickly. More and more people are opening their eyes to fiberglass and all the advantages the material offers. With fiberglass we can create robust and lightweight structures that do not corrode and require minimal maintenance. Despite the fiberglass's low weight, its strength is maintained and ensures robust structures with a long lifespan.

Light and flexible as fiberglass is, the components can be delivered flat-packed. Transport is easier, costs are lower, and moving around the construction site is easier.

Large and modern trout farm
The structures have been delivered to the new part of Hofseth Aqua's fish farming facility in Tafjord. The post-smolt facility will consist of six 18-meter tanks, and will produce trout for Hofseth's marine facility. An important part of the initiative will be to increase fish welfare and produce more fish. The facility has a license to produce up to 2,000 tons of smolt per year.
